About Renae
I started the renegades as a place to learn and grow in my own journey and support others who may be struggling with the internal wrestle of their thoughts, emotions and beliefs like I do.
I’ve had questions about what is “right” and what I am “supposed” to think, say and do and I’ve had these beliefs shattered and at times felt very lost and alone.
I love that I have the opportunity to provide a place for others to explore their inner world, to witness and support them as they do so.

I’ve worked with individuals facing clinical depression and anxiety, as well as those navigating various forms of grief and loss—whether from relationships, bereavement, career changes, family or friendships.
I have 20 years experience volunteering in Christian church communities, providing a range of spiritual, emotional, social, and mental health care and support including 1-1 mentoring, small group leading and family focused community outreach events.
I am currently employed as as a Student Wellbeing Officer, developing and facilitating children's small group social skills programs, 1-1 social and emotion regulation coaching and help kids struggling to engage with school life.
With my background in Exercise Physiology, I also offer counselling on physical health and well-being.
Having an involvement in Church planting initiatives I have first hand experience in understanding the unique pressures and stresses involved in starting new ministries.
I’m passionate about helping those wrestling with what it means to live as a Christian in a world that is often broken and challenging.
